meet our first lady
Sis. Tammy Pearce is a faithful follower of Jesus, accomplished structural engineer, entrepreneur, and civic leader. Born and raised in Chicago, Tammy has served in the local church for most of her life — beginning as a young usher and youth choir member, and growing into a trusted and beloved servant-leader in discipleship, hospitality, and congregational care. She now serves joyfully alongside her husband, Pastor Nicholas Pearce, at Crosstown Community Church in the heart of her hometown.
Professionally, Tammy is a nationally recognized structural engineer and serves as an Associate at GRAEF. Over her two-decade career, she has helped design award-winning projects such as the MetroSquash Center in Chicago and the renovated United Nations Headquarters in New York. She is also the founder and president of Big Sky Graphics, a design consultancy she launched as a child. Deeply committed to leading with purpose in the community, Tammy serves on the boards of Habitat for Humanity Chicago, CREW Chicago, and the ACE Mentor Program, and was recognized as one of Chicago’s Top 40 Leaders under 40 by Crain’s Chicago Business in 2024.
Tammy holds the M.Eng. in structural engineering and the B.S. in civil engineering from Cornell University. The devoted wife of Pastor Pearce and loving mom to their son, Sis. Pearce finds joy in serving her family, her church, and her city with grace and excellence.
