meet our pastor
Gifted with a shepherd's heart and a scholar's mind, Rev. Dr. Nicholas Pearce serves as the senior pastor and founder of Chicago’s Crosstown Community Church. Called to the ministry at the tender age of seven under the pastorate of the legendary Bishop Arthur M. Brazier, Dr. P is a faithful servant of God and God's people. His leadership at the unique intersection of faith, the marketplace, and the academy equips people to live undivided lives, connecting their Sunday-morning worship with their Monday-morning work.
Beyond the pulpit, Dr. Pearce is an award-winning organizational behavior professor at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and the founder & chief executive officer of The Vocati Group, a boutique management consultancy. He is also the bestselling author of The Purpose Path: A Guide to Pursuing Your Authentic Life’s Work.
A Chicago native who carries his city in his heart, Dr. P has been a Leadership Greater Chicago Fellow since 2015 and a member of the Economic Club of Chicago since 2024. He serves on the boards of the Chicago Children’s Museum, Greater Chicago Food Depository, Field Foundation of Illinois, and Fuller Theological Seminary.
A champion of education, Pastor Pearce holds four academic degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Northwestern University, and Fuller Theological Seminary. Devoted to his family, he is married to his beloved childhood sweetheart, Tammy, and together, they delight in serving the Lord and raising their brilliant son.
